Physician Loans in Tennessee can be a little tricky as not all lenders provide Physician Loans. I am married to a surgeon at Vanderbilt and have had my Real Estate license in Tennessee for 12 years, so I have been through the process a number of times.
Just like the ever changing mortgage interest rates, physician loan packages can change their perks too. But for the most part, if you are a Doctor in Tennessee you can obtain a loan for 100% of the appraised value purchase price without having to pay PMI (Primary Mortgage Insurance). Another little piece of information I can provide is that the loans I have obtained were specific to Tennessee, so you can only use this loan package for a home you are buying in TN.
